Forgive, Forget & Move On

Hey guys, it's 1 more day until 2015! Who's excited? I am!

Well this post is going to be more mature, sentimental and probably not as fun or as interesting as the other posts but I really want to get this across to you guys.

For me new year isn't just about a new fresh start but it also means letting go of the past. Whether it means letting go of a grudge, a bad memory or a person, we must let it go *begins to sing let it go*. Letting something go is not an easy process but when you have accomplished it, you will feel so light and free. Personally when I let something go there are 3 essential things that I do, you can call them stages or steps but since you don't have to follow them in order or you don't have to do all three of them so I will just call them "things".

Forgive.

Forgiving might sound like a simple thing to do but to me, it's more difficult than it sounds. Why is it difficult for me? Well because I never actually completely "forgive". Verbally I might say that "I forgive you" but deep down inside I still want to bury that person alive. Forgive, in my dictionary, is to free that grudge you are holding on someone, even if it wasn't your fault, stop. Just stop. Why do you have to be mad at someone, neither you or the other person will feel comfortable. Abandon whatever you are doing right now and call that person, or leave them a message, telling them that "I forgive you" . If it was your fault, IF, then say "I'm sorry". Life is unpredictable, you do not know what is going to happen and there might not be a "next time". Well if it's impossible to talk or to communicate with that person then just write it on paper and burn it. In 2015, I want to forgive, I want to forgive everybody who hurt me, physically or mentally, I want to forgive. Everybody deserves a second chance and I believe that there is always an angelic side inside everybody. Besides the best way to revenge is to forgive.

Forget.

Stop thinking about it, or stop running away from it. Face it, deal with it and forget it. It depends on what you are trying to forget but honestly you can't completely "forget" something since there are certain things you can't forget, but you can live with it, you can control it. What you are trying to forget, might be a memory or a person but the main thing is to face it. Not forgetting it by running away from it, but to face it. Accept it, it happened and there is no way you can change it. Time is unstoppable or reversible. 2 years ago something happened that really affected my life, I was emotionally destroyed. I tried so hard to forget it but I couldn't and one day I realised that I just have to ignore it. Stop thinking and stop caring about it. It happened for a reason, everything happens for a reason. After provoking myself I got over it rapidly and the pain also eased away, of course not completely but it did decrease. Right now, I'm trying to forget someone,  and I don't even bother to block or hide away from that person, I just carry on with my life. Yes I did cry, a lot, but after those tears I toughen myself up. Crying doesn't mean you are weak but it's the opposite, you are brave enough to express yourself. For new year, let's forget, forget all the unpleasant things that happened in 2014.

Finally, move on.

Moving is some what the next stage of forget, you forget and you move on. For me moving on is like freeing yourself, you are no longer attached to whatever you were holding back. It also means you are giving yourself another chance, restarting and renewing yourself. Moving on can be painful and seems like a challenging thing to do, because it is, but the result is really worth the shot. Move on from 2014 and look forward to 2015, leave it behind and don't look back. There will always be a rainbow after the rain, cause you know, the light dispersion and the spectrum. Ok I should probably get back with revision now, oh wait there is still the outro.

Last but not least, best wishes to all of you, take care and don't waste a second of your life. Don't ever take anything for granted, especially if it's something you love. I hope 2015 will be a blessing year for all of you and live the last of 2014 with no regrets, just don't do anything stupid. Goodluck and lots of love! x

Month of November

So many things happened during the months November, mostly bad events, that's why I haven't been updating my blog. I'm so sorry for the lack of consistency.

Well here are some quick updates about November:

Fashion & Beauty

For the month of November I have been loving my grey sweater from Topshop, yes I got it from the male section and yes it was on 50% sale, I probably love it so much that once I wore it for a week without washing. Man I'm gross, but it's just so fluffy and warm! I feel like I'm in my own bubble whenever I'm wearing it. I just feel protected ok?

Chilin' with my iced milk coffee dough.

Wearing eyeliner is also one of my current eccentric hobbies. I just feel so fabulous with my eyeliner on, it's like I'm in one of those 50s retro movies haha! For fragrance, I'm loving the scent See By Chloe, a floral and girly yet not too sweet scent, difficult to describe but I just love, love it. Definitely overusing my floral Dr. Martins boots, even though I'm in Vietnam, I literally wear it whenever I go out. Life of a shoe-a-holic, I just need new shoes all the time. Accessories wise, ring is my obsession right now, I usually wear 6 rings every time I go out, which is strange because I wasn't a big fan of rings before. Last but not least, my keys necklace, I call them the keys to my heart, haha! It's basically three vintage keys, different sizes, connected in to one necklace, fascinating ey? ;)

Movie & TV show:

Overrated, but I love Big Hero 6, I just love that movie so much, one of the reasons is because I love Japan. Greetings to my Japanese readers! If I have any. The characters are so adorable, from the group of friends to Baymax itself, everything is just so kawaii!

Sadly the plot is not that new and exciting in my point of view but overall, it's a great movie to watch with your friends and family!
Guilty to admit this but I did procrastinate from blogging to watch The Walking Dead, yes yes I know cliché but OMG it's so good! Totally did not finish everything in one week. Glenn man, my pizza delivery boy *fangirls*. Who else ship Carol and Daryl? I do #Darol. The series is just so hooking and it's so hard to take my eyes off the screen. It's so cool how you get to see the flashback of each character, especially Michonne, probably my favourite character. The TV show itself is quite different from the comic I must say but still, very amusing and entertaining.

Music & Youtube:

If you haven't check out my new Christmas playlist, then what are you doing with your life?! Jokes but seriously, go and listen to it! I love the name of it though "Count Down To Christmas". I'm sorry for the amount of Christmas related things i mentioned but I'm a Christmas enthusiast after all, despite the fact that I'm in Vietnam and the Christmas here is not as legit. As for Youtube, my favourite you tubers right now are Meghan and Essie. They are my favourite people and I just can't stop watching their videos! I might be addicted, actually I'm pretty sure I'm addicted but they are so funny and amusing to watch, especially their blogs!

Well that's it for my updates! Hope you guys enjoy that and love you guys so much! Lots of love and best wishes to you all.

Saigon’s Zoo and Botanical Garden

Established in the 1865, this place is one of the most well known places in Saigon. Stepping through the gate raced as the memories flashed back in my mind. I thought I was 5 again. Without any hesitation, I dashed to the ice cream machine and ordered myself a cone of vanilla ice cream. Being 5 years old I ran towards the elephants, looking up, staring at the ginormous animals bathing themselves in the mud.

Look at that trunk

After the elephants, of course it’s the giraffes, it was that interesting therefore I moved on to, the Leo (or tigers and lions, as normal people call them). Most of them were sleeping except for the tiger cubs, which were so adorable. Lost in a trance when I looked at them, like I was hypnotized. Their eyes were unbearable; they were the most beautiful things on Earth.

Giraffes be like "Whatever, I'm eating"

Majestic creature

Hard to leave but I had, walking alone the path to the orangutan section I couldn’t control my laughter. IT SHOOED US AWAY! That orangutan really made my day.

Vietnam's Next Top Model

Before visiting the bears I treated myself with some Vietnamese street junk food, fried fish balls (cá viên chiên).

I'm so healthy, haha...
And finally, the bears…

"May I have the fish balls too?"

"Pwetty Pwease?"

My body froze as I saw the sign saying “Butterfly garden” (or something on that line). Got my camera ready, I charged in. Such a calming atmosphere in there, like it’s separated from the world ouside. Everything slowed down as the wings continued to swing.

And some other snapshots I was managed to take.

"What are those creatures?"

"wot?"

Please save the Rhino, stop hunting them for their horns.

"I know I'm fabulous"

As soon as we decided to go home, the rain just poured down on us and we had to wait for few hours until it stopped but the rain just added that something to a boring day. It brought back so many memories of me being a child and get excited whenever it’s raining (so I can shower in the rain, ha).

Took it using my phone so excuse the quality :3

Hope you guys liked the blog post, I had a lot of fun writing it! x

You are never too old to visit the zoo ;)

Saigon's Art Museum

As an Art student I can’t skip this place, keep in mind this is just the main building, I didn’t have time to visit the side buildings.

One of the edited photos of the hallway (I like this one best haha x)

From Ben Thanh market the vintage yellow building will be the first thing your eyes will be focused on. Antique yet , so alluring. Walking towards the building the image will be clearer as your eyes will be glued to the gate, rusty and old but still so beautiful.
The "majestic" gate

You will have to pay the fee of 10,000, VND (50 cents) but it’s little compare to the things you will be able to see.

With a very classic and old school structure the building still attracts many views and visitors. The walls are covered with a fresh pastel yellow colour and are decorated with clean white details. Upon the walls are balconies with pastel-ish mint colour windows, which blend with the background nicely.

The structure

Look at those coloured glass panes though!

As you walk up the stone plated stairs, you will be able to see the intricate designs. First step in the building the pleasant smell of Art will gently wakes you up.  Time seems to stop and you are just there in wonderland. Everything looks breath taking in that building, including the ceiling.
So beautiful!

Gorgeous ceiling

Made up with many floors this building contains many fascinating things but I especially love the balconies and hallways. Personally, I don’t want to go into detail about the art works, perhaps in another post I will, or else this post is going to be very long and boring ha-ha!

Some propaganda paintings

Well you guys deserve a lot of catch up photos so here are more photos of the place

8tracks account and first playlist.

Hi! Firstly I would like to apologise for my absence in the past few days, I had many tests to do, I was going through a minor depression and my sister also came back from Australia to visit so I couldn't uploaded any new but I promise, new post soon.

Now my 8tracks. 8tracks is a very interesting site where you can discover new songs, personally I've used 8tracks for quite a while, more than 1 year, but I never had the courage to make an account and upload playlists. Yesterday an amazing idea just popped into my mind and I decided to create an account, long- story- short, I uploaded my first playlist (even though I was supposed to revise for my Biolody test) *giggles*.

Main point of creating an account is that I want to express my feelings through music, my mental state right now limits my ability of communicating with other people, and I just feel like music really helps to boost my mood. Listening to music helps me to forget the world for a while and it just kind of blocks out all the negative thoughts.

As the purpose of this blog post is to tell you guys about my 8tracks here is the link! http://8tracks.com/9cloudschild

I hope you guys will enjoy the playlist as much as I do, don't forget to like and subscribe! Virtual hugs and kisses x

Saigon, Bon appetit!

On Saturday me and some of my close friends decided to take a trip back to our childhood, a trip on our memory lanes to Bến Thành Market. Here is the consequence to the trip, a blog post about Saigon's "street" food.

Food, Saigon’s food will make you say “Yummy, yummy in my tummy”. I find it so hard to finish writing this blog post without my mouth drooling or my stomach constantly drumming, demanding for food.

Bến Thành market

Don’t bother to go to fancy restaurants, try street food instead, even the look of it is incredibly irresistible. Warning, don’t take risk and try to sniff in the smell. As soon as the exquisite scent diffuses into your nose, you will need an extremely strong will to not charge in and order every dishes. Bắp xào (Stir-fried corn with margarine), Bánh tráng trộn (Rice paper “salad”), Cá viên chiên (Fried fishballs), Bột chiên (Fried steamed flour cubes with eggs and soy sauce), Bánh Bèo are some of the most common, underrated yet intimidating street food that will make you crave for more.

Bánh bèo

Sweet food game in Saigon is just way too strong; Chè is a must for all those sweet tooth out there! Some of the Chè I recommend are Chè ba màu (mixture), Chè bắp (my personal favourite, corn fans, must try.), Chè khoai môn (taro) and Chè đậu (Beans, red, black, green).

Chè bắp

Chè Ba Màu

Bánh Flan

Cơm Rượu (rice in alcohol, light alcohol)

Did I even mention about the sticky rice? Oh yes! Xôi dò, xôi gất, xôi bắp (corn sticky rice, with a pinch of sugar on top), xôi đậu phộng (Peanut sticky rice) are the things that were sent from heaven to Saigon.

Some of my friends

All of the food above are available in Bến Thành market!

Notes: I'm sorry I couldn't take photos of all of the food but when I do I will update on this blog! Thank you guys x
